PAMIL conducted two important webinars for the professional development programs for the Board of Directors (BOD) and Officers in 2021.
- Webinar on MIL Course Module Design and Writing for Blended Classroom
The 1st PAMIL Professional Development Program is titled “Webinar on MIL Course Module Design and Writing for Blended Classroom” which was held on July 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The webinar is composed of two main parts:
(1) MIL Principles covers the basic theories and principles that include nature, scope and overview of MIL as a composite concept.
(2) MIL Application Covers the specific applications of MIL for producers and consumers of media and information as they navigate the media and information resources throughout life.
The webinar is a preparatory activity for the project MIL Principles and Applications: Guidebook for Teachers which is a reference teaching guide on the concept and process of MIL and its applications in real-life situations.
The distinguished speaker and facilitator in the webinar is Dr. Jose Reuben Alagaran II who is the Founding President and President Emeritus of PAMIL.
- SMILE: Five Steps to Becoming a Great Presenter and Speaker
The 2nd PAMIL Professional Development Webinar is titled “SMILE: Five Steps to Becoming a Great Presenter and Speaker” which was held on August 21, 2021 (Saturday) from 1:00 – 2:30 PM. The talk is followed by a Q and A portion.
The ability to speak confidently, concisely, and clearly to effectively engage the audience and communicate the message well is the aim of every presenter. It takes a lot of preparation and practice to be one. In this workshop, you will learn the five simple steps to becoming a great presenter and speaker. After all, great speakers are not born, they’re made.
At the end of the webinar, the participants will be able to…
- identify the key skills of effective public speaking;
- discuss the best approach for creating and delivering presentation materials;
- develop the skills to keep the audience focused on them and their message; and
- apply the key skills of effective public speaking and the best approach in creating presentations.
The distinguished speaker for the webinars is Mrs. Richelle Sy- Kho. She is a current Board Member and Secretary of PAMIL. She is teaching at MGC New Christian Life Academy.
