The 2021 TAKORAMA International Film Festival is an online festival for children. Under the patronage of UNESCO, the festival is completely free of charge and without advertising. The festival runs from March 1 to June 25, 2021.
The festival is open to teachers and students, parents and children from all over the world. To participate, teachers will register their classes and they will receive via email the educational activities they can give to their students after watching the movies. For parents, they can register their children directly. Students and children will vote for their favorite film.
The Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL) is a non-profit organization of educators, trainers and practitioners committed to promoting media and information literacy (MIL) as a lifelong learning skill in a knowledge-based economy and media-saturated Philippine society. Within the framework of the partnership with the Takorama festival, PAMIL participates in the communication of the film festival in the Philippines.
