Rappler’s MovePH, Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL), University of Caloocan City, and The New Crossroads of the North co-hosted “Fact-checking in the Time of Coronavirus” which was held last May 21, 2021, from 4: 00 to 5: 30 PM Manila Time (GMT+8).
Featured in this virtual event are media practitioners and fact-checking experts Raisa Serafica, Vernise Tantuco, and Pauline Macaraeg. They discussed the nature, scope, and practice of fact-checking as it unfolds in this time of the pandemic in the Philippines. This session is part of MovePH’s fact-checking webinar series that aims to fight disinformation by educating communities across the country about the basics and methodology of fact-checking.
At least 348 participants composed of Media and Information Literacy advocates, educators, librarians, and students joined this fact-checking webinar.
