Can MIL help us understand environmental issues? 🍃
Let’s talk in our #MILWebiserye.
𝑴𝑰𝑳 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏?
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) declares, “the world is in a state of climate emergency.” In Media and Information Literacy, we can also talk about applying environmental literacy and ecoliteracy in the classroom and in communities, and employing critical thinking skills to promote sustainable practices that will help reduce our carbon footprint.
PAMIL and Communication Foundation for Asia (CFA) are inviting educators, advocates and MIL partners for a two-part #MILWebiserye on August 24 and September 14 for engaging discussions on the theme, “𝑴𝑰𝑳 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑.”
Participants can choose to attend any of the sessions (or both):
𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭 (𝗔𝘂𝗴. 𝟮𝟰): “𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴”
𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟮 (𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁. 𝟭𝟰): “𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲”
